I'll post pics tomorrow when I get back from the gym, provided I have the time. if it doesn't happen tomorrow, I'll try to get to it in the next couple of days or so.

Yeah, I've been meaning to bump this. Still no action out of me, I've been working a ton, so no time for it. Met a local guy who was making cider in 55 gallon drums, so if I get around to doing cider again, hopefully I can get some firsthand help/advice.

55 gal drums??? that's awesome!! I'd love to be able to make that volume in one shot.

On the other hand, if you **** something up, that's a lot to waste...

if i remember right, he picked the apples, and did a little fab work for the cider mill, and the cider mill took care of pressing/bottling (barreling?) in exchange, so not much lost if something went wrong.

actually, I think he built something of a still as well, refined some alcohol, and added it back to the remains of the original batch for some cider with a badass kick that you never saw coming.

that sounds pretty solid.

On another note, I won't be adding any pics or a DIY tonight. I had my car broken into while I was at the gym and my wallet, keys, phone, and ipod were taken. I have other **** to deal with right now.

I filed a police report, but it doesn't sound promising. I'd love to find this ****** though, pull him out of the gym, and make him bite the curb. piece of ****...

know the feeling. had my sirius radio stolen out of my car a year ago. pulled the shotgun out of its case, and had 2 rounds on the nightstand just HOPING they'd be stupid enough to try me again on another night. I wouldn't shoot to kill. 2 rounds, 2 kneecaps.

also filed a police report, nothing ever came of it. especially pissed considering that you have to call and activate those radios, and I had it turned off as soon as i realized it was stolen. I was hoping Sirius could/would give me/police info on whoever tried to activate that radio again. No dice.

Good luck with everything. Any help from your insurance company? My radio wasn't worth my deductable, otherwise I'd have had it replaced immediately. Your stuff isn't exactly car related, but maybe renters/home owners (whichever applies) will cover it?

I don't think the insurance is going to cover anything. My deductable is more than any of that **** was worth. My ipod was 3 years old, phone was 3 years old, 8 bucks in my wallet... not that big of a deal. I just feel like my space was violated.

But yeah, I'd love to borrow that shotty.

I doubt they'll be stupid enough to come here though. I saw that some of the charges were at McDonalds. The older guys that take the gym seriously aren't eating 28 bucks worth of McDonalds. Probly some dumb *** kid right out of high school. Whatever...
