how hard to you drive your car?
Hello boys (and occasional girls)
I've had my b6 for about a month now and just had to come back and mention how much damn fun it is to drive...Of course all you owners already know this but I figured I'd post this anyway...
I've gotten used to the throttle response and handling and am having a good time with the car but I wanted to know how hard you guys drive your audis?
I'm trying to avoid driving it like a riced out accord (roaches of the road if you ask me) but its too tempting to take it to the red zone.
As a first time turbo owner I'm concerned with preserving the health of my engine and components... Despite mixed opinions on this behavior, I do let the engine idle for a minute or two depending on hor hard ive driven it. Maybe ill invest in a turbo timer but again, seems like theres mixed opinions on whether or not its even necessary. But aside from that and the usual maintenance I dont know what else to do (please spare me the link to the search bar guys...i know how to use it
)
My other car is an Jeep XJ...really easy to work on so I wasnt afraid to take it to its limits. I'm kind of hesitant with the audi since Im still new to its engine, drivetrain, etc.
Any comments about your experiences with wear and tear as a result of driving patterns etc would be appreciated.

One of the biggest deciding factors of getting the S4 was that if there's a car out there that can handle the way I drive it, it's gonna be the S4...I am not dissapointed, I do twice the speed limits posted for curves, on ramps, off ramps, power slides, (drifts suck because it goes from understeer to immediate oversteer), hairpin-first gear power slides are the best with all four wheels smokin, definitely my favorite.
This car impresses me, every time.
