How to make a prop passport for filming.
Hi! I was recently tasked with making a prop passport for a short film shoot. At first I thought it would be easy - I found a few samples and made a layout in Photoshop. But when I brought it to the set, everyone immediately said it looked too "plastic", like a fake from a toy set. Now I'm racking my brains over how to make it more believable so that it would look realistic on camera. Maybe someone has had experience in creating such documents for filming? What should I pay attention to?
I never thought about how important prop documents are in filming, but it really does affect perception. Sometimes even small details like the wrong font or color can ruin the overall picture. It would be interesting to know what other nuances need to be taken into account so that the document looks convincing not only in person, but also on camera.
