3-4 years ago I bought a set of Green Diamond Icelanders for my car. Best winter tires I've ever used, but they do have the occasional problem (they're re-caps). Bought the tires, had one that had an iffy spot after about 1200 miles, it was replaced for free. That was the last time I've seen or had contact with this tire shop. Went in today to replace a bent rim and without saying any more than my name, the guy remembered me and the car. Set me up with a new rim/tire in no time.
This is why I like small town stuff. A face and name will go somewhere vs being just a stranger in a crowd in a big city.
