Default I bought a projector!

So I thought.

I bought this projector on ebay and emailed them to email me went its shipped so I when to expect it. Well this is the email I got im response.

"as you can see from my feedback.i have perfect feedback.i only started paypal recently.i've had promblems so far i think i have it straightened out.i'm sorry for the inconveience, but could you please.could you please request money back from the**********
address and resend to ***********@wmconnect.com i'm so sorry,i'm new to this.i've worked all afternoon to make sure this dosn't happen anymore. thank you again for your bid on this item"

My response was this.......

"Sorry but I bought your item because it was threw paypal and will not pay any other way. If you have it straightened out then there should be no problem. IF there is a problem and you would like to cancel our transaction then let me know and no negative feedback will be left."

I would probably wait a day or two to see if you get another e-mail from the guy. If you don't, THEN I would alert Paypal. Just my £.02, though.

make sure you keep that receite and all the documentation you can, give him a day or two to respond and if you hear nothing alert paypal, and if you used ebay let them know too

I agree with AudiJP98 - log into PayPal and get their number, and call them. Don't freak out, but let them know what has happened, so they're forewarned. I've dealt with PayPal issues before, and they're actually very good to deal with. Let them know what's going on, what your concerns are, and tell them that you may be back in touch in a couple days (I agree, give the seller that much time to straighten things out), and just tell them that you wanted them to be aware of what is going on. It certainly can't hurt.

Update:

I talked to Paypal this morning and they confirmed that this guys account was canceled a couple months ago when he registered as a seller. The new account that he sent me is legit and safe to send payments threw. So I canceled the original payment and sent a new one to the new address threw paypal. No harm No foul!

Thanks for your input once again. [sm=smiley20.gif]

give them bad feedback - explain there was a switch and possible scam - you can retract it if they prove otherwise
