B5 > B7

Imagine getting to see it in your driveway everyday. Whenever I park and walk away from my s4 i catch myself looking back over my shoulder, it never gets old.

100% agree haha. The B5's look better and even though the 2.7t has a horrible track record for reliability it's an amazing engine. I can't wait to get a ride in the local one that is stage 2.

The 2.7T is very reliable. Where did you hear otherwise? They are just a bitch to replace the turbos and it's just a tighter fit. Otherwise the 2.7T is as solid or more solid than a 2.8 or anything else.

Haha, I do the same thing. I do want a B6 or B7 as my daily driver though.

I also think a B6/B7 makes a better daily driver. I love my B5 S4 to pieces but my GF's '06 A4 2.0tq S-Line is a *much* nicer daily driver. Better chassis, newer features, updated interior, etc. With a chip it's got plenty of gusto for daily driving, too.

If I win this RS4, I'll have the best of both worlds

Not sure what the fate of the S4 will be if I benefit from the miracle of winning the RS4... It depends heavily on a few things: 1) how soon VF's supercharger is available for the RS4, 2) what the buyout is on the lease, and 3) what insurance on the RS4 is!

My insurance now (S4 + Grand Cherokee) is only about $105/mo for full coverage on the S4 and liability on the Jeep... if it goes up more than another $200/mo or so I may need to ditch the S4 (I'm still paying it off) to offset that extra expense.

If there's no real power adders for the RS4 or the buyout is crazy-expensive, I'll keep the S4 for when I *really* want to go fast in a straight line

this is off topic... but wow that insurance is cheap! what company do you use? I use farmers and on my 1995.5 S6 I recently sold I was paying 233 a month with all discounts, no accidents, and no tickets. It was 183 on my A4. I'm 20 which is out of that danger range (i think?) and it was full coverage but it still seems way too steep for me.
