tomtom is one of the best. i have both a magellan and a tomtom and i think the tomtom is so much better. but to each its own.

Most cellphones these days have GPS built into them and the software is easy to use with a small monthly fee. The best thing is you pretty much always have it with you so if you are with a friend and get lost, or need to search for a restaurant, or post office, or whatever, its right in your pocket.

+1 on the phone gps it is great especially if you find walking and lost in a major city.

For the money, I couldn't be happier with the $169 I spent on the Magellan RoadMate with 6 million "points of interest" I got at Costco this summer.

yup. just got a new phone with a gps in it. all i need is a dash kit and it should be great.

how is the iphone? the thing is that i dont need like internet or anything else on the phone cuz i have my laptop and wireless internet.... whats a good phone w gps from verizon?

sorry bud that was the salesman in me, on the real you can get a phone like a blackberry with gps enabled, and then download google maps and it will interface with the onboard gps on the phone without a monthly fee (you will still need the data service of 30 bucks from your provider, but you will dodge the 10 gps service this way).....the iphone is dope, but wont give you turn by turn directions and wont reroute you if you go off course or hit a bunch of traffic
