I believe it was James' PATTERN of behavior, over the length of his association with AF that got him banned. Not this specific event. You are right. THIS event shouldn' be enough to get him locked out, and I'm sure it, alone, wasn't.

Playa is old enuff to understand that he basically did this to himself, and, from my conversations with him, I believe he does. Regret ISN'T something you can take back. I know,I am just out of the Newb stage, and no, I don't know a whole lot about anyone on this forum, other than what I can glean from reading your posts. However, I know how tough it can be to give someone the axe when you know him/her and know he/she is a good person. But there are only so many breaks you can give someone before you have to say, enough is enough. If someone acts in an irresponsible way after beingwarned, and after agreeing to act more politely, sure give 'em the boot. That may suck, but it's the way things gotta be, or yougive the keys to the asylum to the inmates.

Hey Chaos - I'm honestly shocked that Playa got banned - but to be truthful - I was more taken aback by who he claimed to be and how he behaved on AF.

Military humor is an abrasive nature (mostly you poke fun at people at their expense) it's something that hasn't changed - watch any modern warfare movie to learn about it. Doesn't play well in the civilian world - I nearly lost my first job becuz of it when I left. Needed to learn discretion quickly - and that was what always puzzled me about Playa.

For a guy who is suppose to be an officer candidate - that sort of humor is frowned on heavily - so to see him come at peeps in this forum was odd. Maybe he had the venue to vent? who knows?

This is all coming from an old soldier, so take it for what it's worth - I completely agree with AWD - Playa was his own undoing... shame, but still his...

i think everyone is just worried about being PC, he did say a couple things that crossed the line and was scolded for it, then he came back and slipped up once and BAM he gets the boot. he was becoming better and we basically just said *** off your not worth the trouble.

I cant really say any of this surprises me....
