Ill-equipped Britain Hit by Heat Wave "...pavement melted..."
just FYI, it was around 108 today with the high i saw at 112. And i live in so cal not the desert, ONly a few miles form the beach. Pavement didnt melt. OO and its ugly and humid, oo and the 112 was at 415 this afternoon. Still around 98 and its 8
i live in the san fernando valley, and it was a high of 110 in the shade, and even hotter in the sun i'd guess 117. 101 i wish

We just broke our heat wave. It's been in the 80's this weekend. Last week it never dropped below 100 and the heat index was averaging 115. I lived in AZ for a year and a half and it was no where near as bad as it is in here. The humidity is terrible. I can't wait for winter and snow!!
i totally agree, dry heat is no where near as bad as if humidity is involved. I can deal with dry heat, but when it becomes muggy out and everytime u walk out the door it slaps u in the face, then it gets hard. But screw alll this im going surfing in an hour. and the weather report said its raining (thunderstorms) where i am surfing today. OO well, hopefully it will clear up.
