Wow man. That suks. A cop stopped me once in a 35 and told me I was speedin. Told him I had no idea the laws applied the same to a bicycle and he sorta mumbled a "yea ok, be safe" as he walked away. Bastards. Sorry to heer of the troubles.

One thing I've learned is to always carefully read any letters from courts or the DMV! The people don't care enough to bother telling you what you need to know, and since they send it to you in writing you can't plead ignorance.
