i downloaded the newest version of iTunes. and now i cant burn CD's. went to the apple support page's and everyone says that they are having the same problems with iTunes 8 and primarily VISTA.

I get an error message saying "Device burner or software not found..."

One kid said he contacted apple and they asked him to pay $30 for a fix and he told them to shove it up their a$$, that he wasn't going to pay for a problem they created.

annoying as hell. i'm sure i can still burn the song files with roxio or something else, but that is more work, i want to be able to create a playlist and click burn, and waa laa, done. but no.

iTunes 8 = fail.

 

Erase Itunes

Download an older version

Win!


I haven't updated Itunes in years.

 

I had the same problem with an earlier version.

Uninstall Itunes8
Download CC Cleaner
Install CC Cleaner
Run CC Cleaner
Reboot

Re-install itunes 8

that is what i will prolly end up doing. My theory is if there are a bunch of nerds sittin up in their nerdery, then they should be able to make something that actually works before distributing it to people. Not saying that i could, cuz i cant, thats why i dont design stuff haha. I'd expect this from microsoft, but i thought apple was better than that

 

Its with the program install over the older version then getting gheyd. Leaves old reg files...that need to be taken out CC cleaner will do that for u

 

thats why i never update anything until it has been out for quite a while, and most of the bugs are gone. God forbid they hold off the release to make things work properly

 

funny, I have iTunes 8 and Vista - no problems.

Not too happy using iTunes - but I have an iPhone, so what can you do?
