So I was going to where all the street racers go hang out to get my girlie some ice cream, and into the parking lot comes this little '97/98ish green A4 with a really wicked exhaust note. As we were leaving the guy asked me if my car was an S4 or A4, since it was dark and no logos were to be found. I go A4. I ask what the hell he has under the hood to make it sound like that... He goes, S4 swap, smiles, gets in, and rockets off.

Just wanted to share, I don't know how common that is, or if he was BSing me, but I've never heard of such a sweet sounding engine.

it one of the stupidest and dumbest mods u can do in my opinion
the engine and the stall should be pricey as hell
its better to just sell your A4 off and get as S4

I bet it is rather cost effective if you use stolen parts. Wouldn't be suprised if that was the case... S4's go missing rather frequently, and why not dump it into a clean titled A4... every part you could possibly need is right there, in your ripped off car... this type of thing is very common in the province of quebec, up here.

 

tru nuff, but damn would it ever be an arm an a leg to get it run proper, u would need a new tranny and everything. but i guess if u did get it off a ripped s4, u do have everything right there, mounts and everything. that would be nuts to see actually done and functioning. it would be sick if it was done, tell the insurance its an a4, when its got the heart of an S

 

wow i didnt think that was possible. I donno why u wouldnt just buy an S4 in the first place. If u c it again take some pics!

 

i know a lot of a4 people that buy the s4 body kit mabe this person did the reverse put a4 parts on an s4.

 

1) If I had a B5 S4 I'd stay away from Qubec (j/k)

3) Stolen S4 is very plausable
