I've though of this for quite a few years, now. I've wanted a W12 Pheaton since the the mid-2000s. Every tuning shop I've talked to about it feels pretty much like Chocolot, tho. I just don't yet have enough currency to convince anyone to make the attempt. Chip-tuning is all you'll find.
I still want one, tho. Just for the exclusivity. 19s, tint, a 1.5" - 2" drop... Pimpin'. HARD!
There's about half a dozen, that I've seen, in and around the Metro DC area.
So, to expand on your original thought... If you can build a 1,000+HP VR6, and V-dubs W12 is simply 2 VR6s ona common crank, a 2,000HP w12 *SHOULD* be achievable.
But, IDT you'll ever see even a 1,500HP Phaeton.
