RE: Kansas.
I can't even explain it, it feels so good to get the win! I've lived in Kansas City for 20 years, went to KU, have season ticketsand had to move to Dallas in February so I'm missing all the action in Lawrence right now, but I'd trade it all again for another championship. Now I'm at home by myself searching the internet for pictures and video footage of the evening.

Best game of the tourney, the others that should have been good were blowouts. Memphis would've won if they'd fouled dude (sorry don't know his name) who hit the amazing 3 pointer as time ran out instead of letting him shoot. After that momentum was totally with KU. I am not a fan of either team, but would've liked to see Memphis win.

you could tell memphis was loosing their momentum towards the end of regulation. they had a comfortable lead for a while but there was just too much time left on the clock. that 3 pointer for OT was the nail in the coffin for memphis. i think KU thrives on OT. that's when their adreneline and mind game take off.
i really really really would have liked memphis to win. they had so many chances, but couldn't take advangage of them.

YAAAAAY WACK FREETHROW SHOOTING !
what a meltdown those last 2 minutes.
unfortunately i had UCLA & UNC in the finals.
so it was nice to watch the game w/ no $$ riding on it lol.
lame. call a time out. make sure ur team knows to foul as soon as they take
the ball in.
but a great game..

I saw most of the first half running on the treadmill at the gym. Kansas looked sloppy and Memphis appeared to be strong, yet Kansas was still up. After the half Memphis seemed invigorated and came out strong. Even though Kansas "looked" like they weren't doing so well, they were keeping up quite non-chalantly. I left the gym and missed most of the second half.
I'm not surprised that Kansas had the guts to go all the way. All they had to do was turn on the juice and give a little more focus and effort. Too bad for Memphis; they looked good.
Congrats Jayhawks!
