Life just got harder
 

Skewl is starting in a week and im gonna have to start my commutting
its about 40 miles to the skewl and 40 miles back
i plan to wake up super early to beat the morning traffic but im gonn have to take the traffic back home
im thinking damn the price of gas is gonna kill me

It's 35 miles to school, 35 miles back for me. It's not too bad, $10 of gas a day does fine for me... This is exactly why I'm thinking of buying another Civic for my daily driver, I miss the days of 87 Octane, and getting 35MPG+ [:-]

Get a motorcycle, then you can split lanes in your sh!tty socal traffic.

Edit: I just realized you are commuting to school which implies you bring things with you to work. I'm so used to not doing anything (high school) that I forget sometimes.

Price of gas here in Ketchikan, AK is $2.95 for 92 octane Premium. What's the price in CA right now? I'm looking forward to Seattle, something around $2.20 right now I think.

I have been commuting since the spring of 2004 an hour each way or about 30 miles (50km) It costs about $50 CDN to fill my tank and I can make it last for more than a week. I used to live 15 minutes away from school and was able to ride my bike. I don't even know why I am continuing this endless sham of trying to keep everything the same despite being an hour's drive away from everything. Anytime I bring it up with my folks I get the same blanket response "go to a school closer, blah blah" but who would want to screw up their senior year at school? A lot for me to think about anyways.....sorry for ranting.

Seattle gas is 2.59 for 92 oct. its not bad

i drive 45 miles to work and back in traffic. but its a nice ride so i don't mind.

For me it's 41miles each way, gas ranges from $2.59 to $2.89 depending on which area you happen to need (hint: DC is WORST OF ALL) for 93octane... I'm HATING that I wrecked my Camry. Gotta scrape together some ends to get me a commuter-car. 19.5/6/7mpg in mixed driiving is KILLING ME!!!

Hey thats freaky. 40 miles there and also 40 miles back.
And for ZedEx also, the same distance there and the same distance back.
