Default LOL Odometer

But that is not so funny... So a couple of weeks ago i was in a car, waiting on a friend, looked on the recently driven miles since the last gas station visit... There were something like 10.3 miles.... then i began to think about something (about 10 sec. passed) and look on the odometer again.. guess what!!!??? There were 10.4 miles ( car was parked)... Last night went to a gas station, came back home(about 0.1 miles)... parked a car... odometer was saying 0.1... in the morning, started a car, and there were 0.4 miles already... any ideas???

Why was this moved? - if anything it should have been moved to General Tech

Yeah, i def. should check it. But it happened twice already (when i specifically remembered the mileage). But when you drive the same distance, according to my older car, it is almsot the same.

Is just affecting the recent trip odomometer that you have control over or is it also affecting the main one that you're not supposed to be able to change? All I know is if I happened to notice the odometer was constantly changing during a test drive to buy I'd walk on that deal in a heartbeat.

Edit: If this problem has been going on for awile you could have either lost or gained alot of value on the car. Looks like you're losing though unless you get it fixed to the correct amount.

Now, when i bought a car there were 71000 mileson it.. so there is a chance the car has only 50000 ral miles )) joking!!!
I dont know about the main one, cause i cannt measure the mileage i drive... I saw this happening on that second one ( the one you reset).

I would repost your problem with a new title maybe "odometer malfunction?"in "a4" or "general tech" your not going to see much help in this section. your post shouldn't have been moved here.
