Looking for 12v timing tools
Which timing tools are you looking for? If you mean the cam locking tool, you don't need it unless you're doing cam seals (which I wouldn't touch unless they're visibly leaking). Otherwise, all you need is typical tools (sockets, ratchets, wrenches, torx bits, etc). I've done quite a few timing services, 30v and 12v both, and have yet to need a cam locking tool. Long as you index cylinder three (rear passenger side cylinder) at TDC on the compression stroke, the cams will be flat-spotted and won't turn unless you force them to turn.
Well, I was gonna do the whole belt/waterpump/pully shebang while I was in there. Even though they all look newer, the thermostat going casts doubt. I figure I could do it w/o the locking bar and pin as I always have on other cars, but after reading other's posts about it moving anyways, and with putting a new belt on that would have less slack just 'cause its new, and 'cause its friggin so cold outside I dont wanna have to do it twice, I figured I'd try to get the tools
Thanks

Thanks
