Learn more about him. And he can do the same with you.

 

+1 Find a mutual interest and take it from there. Don't do anything too eliberate, it'll come off as your just trying to win his favor. Hang out, listen, communicate and spend the time just being dad.

 

or try and find a race to go to.

 

take him to the track, or go skydiving! somthings extreme! or a vacatoin and then do crazy stuff..

 

Hiking/Camping. Take him to the nearest mountain or something... rent/buy some cheap (but working) gear and take him for a day hike. Start at noon and a couple hours later settle down, make camp, set up a tent, have some beers do some fishing and come back the next day. I'm telling you, I'm 19 and did it when I was 17 with my dad, first time we ever really connected and talked. Nothin else to do out there but talk. I didnt have a tv, he had no service on his phone... perfect. Just the two of you, some beers, and some fishing... thas all you need. If its going good the second day... extend it as needed. (just bring enough beers )

 

ohh man.. so many options.. maybe we should start a fund for Jazz.. that way he can do something extraordinary..
