was going 60 mph in nyc and hit a bump/pothole and crashed the bottom of the front end hard. no exterior damage, even near the front bumper, however there was a shitload of oil leaking out immediately! parked the car, although it was running fine after the "crash" but the oil has completely leaked out within 5 minutes. am taking it to garage tomorrow but is there anyone who can tell me what they suspect i damaged. thanks-

 

you cracked your oil pan, no doubt about it.....

 

yeah that happened to my friend hit a pothole and the oil pan was done...he lost pressure and the car died out right there though so your lucky

 

that sux, but you canget reimbursed from the city. it may take some time & effort but worth it. you need to document the location of the pothole with pictures, the tow receipt should also note location. contact the dept of finance and get the correct form. i had a friend who lost his exhaust from a metal plate in the road and he eventually got paid.

 

Or maybe the oil cooler like I did.

 

becareful do not start the engine if there is no oil..... LOL i have bad experience with that
