Makes you wonder...
We need to show more sympathy for these people.
* They travel miles in the heat.
* They risk their lives crossing a border.
* They don't get paid enough wages.
* They do jobs that others won't do or are afraid to do.
* They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language.
* They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day every day.
I'm not talking about illegal Mexicans;
I'm talking about our troops!
Doesn't it seem strange that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don't support our troops andare now threatening to defund them?

yes!! that's a terrible shame!!
i am definitely going to do something in the way of showing my support for them, either by writing a letter, sending a care package or SOMETHING.
if enough people just do a little something on thier own, maybe it will make a difference.
i hope to make a difference for atleast one soldier this christmas.

I've always wondered why politicians don't pay more attention to the troops. I believe that they deserve a lot more benefits than they get, and they deserve a lot more recognition also.
If you couldn't tell by my sigs, I love the guys who risk there own life so I can be free.
thought I'd add one of my favorite sayings:
If you aren't behind our troops feel free to stand in front of them. (that basically sums up my feelings on all these people who sit safely in (insert name brand coffee shoppe here) and trash talk our troops.)
if anyone doesn't like how I think, you are entitled to that, you are entitled to disagree with me, just remember who gives you these rights.
[/end rant]

What I have always wondered - being ex-military myself - is that this nation was born on the backs of politicians and patriots. But the patriots are the ones that sacrafice both life and limb and the politicians risk little.
my 2 freinds in the marines, ...if cutting thier funds is going to do somthing they wont have much to live for...theyed be getting killed and theyll never be remembered or even helped out because of hese retarded system....for the illegals send em back, shoot any crossers on sight and bring all t he supoprot to ou troops...theyve done so much for us and we cut them out? f*** this
Man where do I begin with this issue...The only way Congress can really show its disapproval of the war effort is to cut funding. As a result the men and women on the ground busting their asses are the only ones who will really be affected here (the ****-rolls-downhill effect). Obviously there should be no spending deficit for the armed forces but most Americans would like to see some positive results after spending 532 Billion (06-07) on the defense budget. The problem here isn't the lack of funds its the appropriation. When this whole Afgan/Iraq conflict started it was moderately funded. Yet three years into the mess some soldiers had to buy there own body armer because their Units/Co./Battalion and so on couldn't get them. Where the hell did the billions of dollars go? Well most of it went into the pockets of contracting firms and privateers who developed equipment, ballistics, weapons systems, etc. for the Dept of Defense...Some of the most useless, redundant bullsh!t I might add...But anyways, yes there should no fund cutting. Men and women in uniform get paid peanuts to begin with. But at the same time the entire system needs to be reevaluated. Instead of spending billions on **** that don't work or not needed, most of it should go to where it's most effective. With the boots on the ground doing the dirty work. But thats just my opinion.
