The Marines
Well, good luck to you. Insh'allah they'll put you in tanks, but they're pretty tough to get into. They're sort of the forgotten bastard stepchildren of the Corps, but once you've been sucked in, you'll look down on those poor grunts.
If you must go recon, try for the LARs. Trust me, that Bushmaster is a hoot to fire. (Also helps to be all-but-invulnerable to small arms)
I have to say, I rather disagree with the posters suggesting avoiding the combat arms for something which will provide a life skill. If you want to learn to be a helo mechanic, go Army or Navy. You join the Marines to be basically one of the hardest, most bad-assed persons the US military can provide. Yes, a Marine cook is still a Marine, and he performs a vital role, but he's still not someone at the pointy end, where the challenge really lies.
Frankly, if the man wants to go grunt, there's nothing wrong with that.

Hostage Rescue Team, lol or you can also go blackwater after some combat exp.. have you already signed with them already? and i would deff say you prolly dont want to go infantry, i would suggest as an air force recruiter, get a job as a mechanic. once you get out so many more opportunities open when you have a skill that you can apply to the real world.
