The Morning Coffee Thread
^ You're finally back around this part!
Holy crap. You and my friend would get along fine with all the geek talk. I gotta agree tho, Linux is pretty awesome. Though it's not as user friendly as Mac and Windows (some people are pure retarded when it comes to operating systems I suppose). The more and more Windows update their softwares the more I feel offended since I'm not as stupid as Windows think I am.
Another cup before bed. It didn't rain today but a pretty cool day in general. Not too bad.

fall break is this week so I should be able to check back in more frequently.Yea, windows' updates and continuously wanting to make sure I reeeeallllly want to open the program I just clicked on is part of why I finally got fed up with the system and moved to something that does what I want it to, has a very near zero probability of ever crashing from a virus (and if it by some miracle ever does, all I would lose is my system, since the virus would only be able to localize to what is on my thumbdrive that I'm running the Linux from, all of my documents, pics, and music are still on my main computer hard drive and untouchable
) and is just simpler to use. Its not loaded with a bunch of resource hogging coding that is useless, the build only contains programs I need such as a media player, firefox, and a word processing program, and nothing else, unlike windows and mac who give you about 8GB worth of programs and utilities you never need, use, or even look at. As for the user friendly part, its every bit as user friendly as any windows system I've ever run, its just the fact that you have to build the system yourself to have it, you can't just buy a computer preinstalled with it, and thus it seems less user friendly because its less common, but once you have it and play around with it for about ten minutes, you find that it functions pretty much the same as windows; you have a start menu, you have desktop icons, you have a command line, you have an interface for viewing wireless networks etc etc

For the coffee part, I'm just finishing up a cup of Sumatra while writing this before heading to work. Weather started off cold and rainy this morning, but now its sunny but still on the cooler side, which is my favorite way to be; refreshing rain in the morning with a little chill to help wake you up, and then a sunny afternoon at about 55-60F to be nice and comfortable. Hopefully its nice next week though for fall break, I really want to get another coat or two of wax on my car before the snow hits. Clay barring was a b!tch this year from the new salt compounds they've started using around these parts so I want to be well protected this year so come spring, its not quite as big of an effort to get the grime off.
My goalie failed to show up due to some super Boy Scout million year anniversary pow wow or something... So, my oldest son said he would play goalie (he had a little practice, and did fairly well), so it took him out as a strong defender. Plus, 2 other kids failed to show, so I only had 11, so no subs. The kids played their hearts out, but we lost 3-2. It was an exciting game, and the kids have no quit in them...
^ironic, I am too, albeit a slight twist. The local coffee shop I frequent most created this invention, which may or may not have already been done elsewhere, but here is the first place I've found it. They mixed the cider half and half with some spiced chai tea (call it a chaider for lolz) and it is quite possibly one of the best versions of hot apple cider I've ever had in my life.
I hate weak coffee.
Another Monday, another week. Good thing I had a great coffee this morning. Honestly, I can't think of any better way to start your day. A fresh morning breeze and a cup of fresh coffee.
