If that gets you into heaven you'll be there with about 4 people... And mabye less than that because you have a different god and religion and bible, and apparently everything you think and believe in is better than what another person does. Good luck with that my friend.

Ok, first off I disagree with you. I never once said anything about if you have sex before marriage then you are going to hell. I believe that God is a forgiver. And yes I think it is wrong that people call them selves Christians but do stupid stuff all week then ask for repentence on Sunday. I think that you have to be truly sorry.

As for the 4 people thing, I have come to realize and believe that not just one religion is right. That is one of the main reasons I am Non-Denominational. I believe that if you are a good person and you follow the laws accourding to your beliefs then you will be going to heaven. Now I am not saying the people who go around killing others are so don't miss understand me. I hope this makes some sense.

And please remember that I am not trying to say what I believe is right and everyone else is wrong. I am just giving my opinion on the subject.

I was a little out of line commenting on the sex thing, that could easily be a personal morale. My fault.

And if you follow the laws to your own beliefs and go to heaven.. well then, you could really set any laws you want, "IE: Drink 3 beers a day"

That makes no sense what so ever, which is why there are so many different alters to religion out there.... But then again religion is a pretty faulty thing, so I guess you can really say whatever the hell you want. Hell I can say I'm going to heaven if thats the case.

I know you are defending yourself on some pretty simple points with more stuff that I could use against you and call bogus.. but why don't you disregard what I said above.... You seem to be a man of faith, I doubt you can disregard my words above with knowledge, but with faith you can make anything possible... hell you can make a mountain dissapear if you believe it enough. Faith is like the iggnorant 6 year old that won't admit hes wrong, its quite silly.

 

I won't dilute my kids' minds with that BS. Besides its become all a capitalist scheme to get money.

 

Now this I beg to differ - don;t get me wrong, the fact I see Christmas trees up after Halloween truly bugs the crap out of me - but I can still remember as a child (and that's quite a ways back...) the innocence of believing in something special...

Through out my life I have seen both good and bad in religious beliefs. One of the few that I could tolerate were the Menonnites (look them up - I dated a gal for a year that's how I knew about them) they are a simple "Do as Jesus would do" religion that does not go after your pocketbook or try to recruit any and every soul for salvation. Instead they have their missionaries across the world doing good for others.

The way the raise money is wonderful in the fact that they have these quilt auctions - very beautifully done and the quality is phenomenal - so much so commercial bidders go for them. Seen a quilt go for $3000! Yes, a quilt. [:-]

But my point here is that unlike most religions they don't beat you up for hand outs or pass the plate around every 5 mins - and don't get me started on tele-evangelist... [sm=shootshoot.gif]

Personally - I never attack anyone's belief system - unless they attack me first.

Just wish the extremist saw it that way
