regardless of where it comes from, you can't deny that it is causing global warming. even the narrow-sighted conservatives are now acknowledging global warming as our doing. so will it run out? who knows? i think it still will because even if they are made from gases, crude takes millions of years to develop from what it originated from. it didnt magically appear overnight.

anyway we still need to move away from oil to deal with this global warming issue. now dont get me wrong, before last year i couldn't give two ***** about this topic, and actually thought it was bullshit. but do the reading, do the "math". with greenhouse gases being trapped in the atmosphere, the ice caps that keep the planet cool are melting, and 30 years ahead of schedule from previous calculations. yes, climate change has occurred naturally in the past, but never at this rate. it can only be attributed to the damage we are doing. these ice caps are what reflect a majority of the heat and light from the sun away from the earth to keep us at a climate where life is sustainable. without it, the door on the oven closes, and thats where climate shifts occur.

i agree 100% that both alternate technologies we currently have are not good. both hydrogen and electric have their flaws. this is why i said in my previous posts that we must develop NEW technologies. not only to progress in alternate fuels, but to have our country claim the damn patent on the technology, so we can benefit from it ecologically and economically.

Global warming is not caused by humans. Its not. As Earth gets older it has climate changes. It's a fact. One day it will eventually have such a radical climate change that it will cease to exist. To think that such a small organism can cause drastic changes is ludacris and pompous. There is even strong evidence that points out that there was global warming in the 1500s. What caused that? Ox farts? There were also several ice ages. They both happened before humans even existed. Al Gore didn't invent the internet but he did make up global warming. Please don't buy into the hysteria.

http://ginovieto-globalwarming.blogs...l-warming.html

There is scietific evidence that suggests that cow farts and burps create more green house gases than car pollution.

There are two mian areas of misinformation spread by the greenies.

One: "man made global climate change will have catastrophic consequences in the near future if extreme action is not taken by the governments."

There is no reliable data, certaitnly nothing conclusive, to suggest this. It is almost impossible to separate the manmade contribution from natural causes making an estimation of the relative impacts crude estimations. It is also possible that slight heating or collong of the earth could have positive impacts, although it would be hard to prove this as well. And it seems laughable to suggest that government mandate is the best way to solve the problem.

Two: "Fossil fuel is a finite resource that will soon be completely consumed.

It is true that the source is finite. But most people who argue this point also argue against oil exploration and drilling. OIL WILL NOT BE OBSOLETE anytime soon so it is stupid to behave as if it is not valuable. We need to find our own sources of oil so that we can control the supply and not have to worry about creating world peace in order to stabilize the market. We should not abandon ship and expect miraculous discoveries to save our economy.
