This is to post the experience with my Audi A6 for others to use as a guide & to show what owning & running the car is like.

 

I got the car on 23/11/2024 with ~179700km.
Known issues:
1. Left fog light dead.
2. Seatbelt light stays on even with seatbelt in use.
3. The driver control for the power windows only opens the passenger window, but does not close it. I have to use the controls by that window to close it.
4. Smoke when idling, but doesn't smell like oil.
5. Service warning on dashboard coming up.

The dealer did say they did an oil change 2000km ago.
I am taking it for its 180000km service on Friday & will have the car checked for any other issues.

 

After having the car serviced at 1800000km. I also got the following diagnostic report:
05491 - left Engine Mount Solenoid Valve (N144) Open Circuit P1573 Upper Limit Reached
05715 - check DTC Memory of ABS Controller P1653 Lower Limit Reached - Intermittent
05658 - Glow Plug for Cylinder 1 (Q10) Open Circuit P161A Upper Limit Reached
00801 - Engine Speed Sensor (G28): Implausible Signal P0321 Upper Limit Reached - Intermittent.
04195 - Fuel Pressure Regulation Controller Range Not Reached P1063 Not A Plausible Signal - Intermittent.
08598 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: Signal too High (Rich) P2196 Lower Limit Reached
01378 - System Voltage Too Low P0562 Upper Limit Reached - Intermittent.
05716 - check DTC Memory of Instruments Cluster P1654 No Or Wrong Adaptation - Intermittent.
18152 - Tiptronic Recognition Switch (F189) Short to Ground P1744

The mechanic had some spare globes & wanted to see if he had one for my fog light. This is when they saw that the wiring for the light itself is missing from the bumbler.
The common cracks on the door panels are there for the driver & just started forming by the passenger side.
The brakes seem to have been done recently & the tires will still last me a couple of 1000km's.
They said that the smoke is probably an injector that is on its way out, but did not test them as I don't want anyone "tampering" with the car. Other than that, there are no unexpected noises, vibrations or issues.
The strut for the bonnet has a small bend. It still works, but I will probably replace it regardless.
I am busy talking to the dealer ship to see what they will cover under their warranty plan.

The read out on the dash is saying the following for 1: 0:56h, 7.9L/100km, 41km/h & the following for 2:12:23h, 7.7L/100km, 34km/h.

I have only driven it a few 100km's now, but can't complain. It drives smoothly in traffic & on the highway. Road noise is nice & low. All the buttons for the controls will take some getting use to.
I have used the sunroof a few times, but I don't enjoy it. Maybe I am using it wrong & just need to learn how to. I just feel that the extra sun light in the cabin is not worth it for me.

The only thing I will try to figure out at a later stage is why I have the telephone option/button & the mic on the A-pillar, but when I tried connecting It the car just said telephone not installed.
This is a minor as I have a bluetooth FM emitter I can use for long trip where I want my own music.
The interior has held up very well with no unwanted smells or stains. I will have to replace the drivers carpet as the one in it now is for another car.
