My R8 2 day track experience at Infineron Raceway
stay tuned. video and details to come.
but just to wet your whistle...here's a map of the track.
the red lines show the turns of the course that i did.

and these were the 2 R8's i drove.
there were 3 students and one instructor. he was in the lead car (tt rs) and 2 students following in the R8's. the 3rd student could either ride with instructor, sit out, or ride as passenger of other student.

they're automatics that you put in sport manual and use the paddle shifters.
i bet they do that as to keep the cars from being beat up too much by people who aren't good at driving manuals.
the instructors tt rs was manual, of course. that's the only way that car is available.
it was always fun to ride with him because he does it all nearly handed because he's holding a walkie talkie in one hand.....plus, most of the time he's looking at us in his rear view mirror barking out commands.
i should have taken video of him driving, but geeze, at high speeds and tight turns....you're holding on to the seat and the arm rest to keep your body straight....i really wouldn't have been able to take very good video.
