yeah...they aren't the best quality.. i was a little dissapointed after i had one for a while and washed it a few times... the letters start cracking a little... i've been meaning to find a new place anyways to make my shirts because the place i deal with is kinda a small buisness and they charge too much...

but great job on these new shirts guys.. this was the first time i came accross this thread and i was just laughing my head off. I love it... how ever it comes out, i'm tottaly down to buy one...or two... keep up the good work guys!

alright....so, I went to a couple different print shops today and only one of them had a really nice professional set-up and really good looking shirts

the name of the place is called T-shirts unlimited, up here in Redding, California...(the guy who helped me today was paul)

the smallest order they do is 24 shirts

right now the design I have (thanks to washyourhands) is the Jesus with turbo on the front and the back says "Respect Thy Turbo" and under it will say audiforums.com under it....

the shirt that I opted to use is a heavyweight (6.1) from gildan, but we can get tagless hanes (same weight) for about the same price...

now this is where the price gets sketchy....because of all of the different colors on the front of the shirt, they will have to make a whole bunch of screens...and each screen is 15$

now, for the back it's only going to be 2 colors (so we only need to screens)-$30

But for the front we are currently looking at 7 colors (which will be 7 screens)-$105[&o]

there is an automatic $65 charge for artwork, like resizing/placement/quality control/color enhancement (whatever it takes to make the shirt look pro)

for a batch of 24 shirts we are looking at spending 12$ a print/shirt (shirt included in this price)

for the design I have right now we are looking at the following prices

9 screens-135$
Artwork charges-65$
24 complete/printed shirts (final product out the door)- 288$

which brings the grand total to $488.00

which means the shirts (unshipped) will currently cost- $20.33 per shirt

for every color we eliminate from the shirt, we save a little more than 15$...so if jesus were to loose some color the shirts individual price would go down big time....

and the other thing is that if wer order 48 shirts, the printed price per shirt would drop to $10...which would be another $2 saved per printed/final product shirt....

so here is the deal, I want two of these shirts for myself, possibly two more for friends, and washyourhands gets one on me for the time and effort he put into this

so my name is on the list for 5 shirts....

I am not here to make any money whatsoever...I don't even care if I loose a few bux honestly....

so, the new questions are....

1. leave them how they are and eat the screen fees

2. cut some of the color out and save a few bucks

3. can you get some friends interested, so that we can order a larger quantity and get an additional 2$ off per shirt?

4. does the brand of T-shirt make a differene to you? no matter what they will be very heave/thick (6.1)

so, the first thing that needs to be done is to decide on the quantity and ammount of color...

I am happy as long as Jesus is holding a turbo...lol

I am planning on having mine printed on a heavy white/off-white color....

any ideas/comments/interest...post-em!

 

very nice work quattroa4... $15 per screen is a good price.. i payed 30 each for the shirts i made... and the first two looked too big on the shirt so i had a revised set made......
