ANyone play like Real Time Strategy games? or First Person Shooter on PC?

I just finished playing full version of Earth 2160 (I think it is kool but has way to many upgrades n ****)

Also I played Sniper Elite,Age Of Empires III, pretty kool games. F.E.A.R is very entertaining and freaky at the same time.

Was getting bored with playing NFS HP2 on the PC (online). Saw this "GTR" ("FIA GT racing game" it says)
It's fairly realistic. Just getting into it.
Only drawback - with NFS I'm pretty good with the keys. For GTR I'll probably need a wheel as I get better.
.
Anybody else got this one?

I hear Civ4 has little alarm clocks that you can set for things like 'shower' 'eat' 'sleep.'

Kinda reminds me of Everquest 2 having a '/pizza' command that would minimize the game and open up a browser window to the pizza hut online order website. I never actually played the game, I wasted too much of my life on the first one.

karguy427,
I have a wheel (Logitech MOMO Wheel/Pedal Combo), but sometimes I feel like I can be a little more presise with the keyboard. Some games have delays in the wheel too. Colin McRae Rally 2005 is pretty good if you are into that, but suffers from wheel delay.

Yeah, i've got an older wheel (don't remember what kind), but put it away 'cause I was faster with the keys.

Curious... how many people on here are apart of an MMORPG? Its so interesting this shift that has happened with games... and its been happening for awhile. Its so mainstream now... before, you would make a conscious decision to stop playing video games around 16 because they were considered "dorky," because a teen had better things to do like smoke pot, sniff glue, and punch inflatable fish or some ****. But I digress....

Show of hands... who currently plays an MMORPG.

If your wondering about me (which I know so many people are.... ), I cant play those types of games because I know I will get addicted.

That is pretty hardcore....and funny as well. I don't know if I will get Civ4 or not, but I do know that I will never need a computer alarm to tell me when to shower/eat/sleep. Piraxis might have been more of a service to their customers by setting little alarms like "Go try to talk to a girl" or "Move out of your parents' house, you pantload"

I thought I was this great sniper in BF 1942. I went online and I got so hosed that it wasn't even funny. I'm not sure that I ever got a round off on a few maps before I got popped. [:@] I'm sure that BF2 would only be worse because it moves at an even quicker pace.

In short, I'm not 14. I have a job, life, responsibilities, aspirations beyond making it on a top player list, so I will never be all that hot on MMORPGs. I haven't tried any driving games online yet. I may have a shot at not getting killed immediately in one of those.
