This is an Audi A4 Avant. It is pre-1999.5, so it originally had the 2-piece headlights. What the ricer in question has done is remove the corner halves of the 2-piece headlights (as well as the side markers), done some fill-in work to cover up the spaces, sanded, blended, and painted over. And as Kolbs pointed out, it obviously has an A4 hood, as evidenced by the fact that the grille is attached to the hood rather than the bumper.

If you compare this picture to the picture of a Jetta that Cyber presented, you'll notice that the roofline is more of a smooth curve than the Jetta, and the space between the tops of the windows and the roof itselfis thinner than the same space on the Jetta. Not to mention, the metal body panel of the A-pillar is not a part of the door, as it is on the Jetta. Furthermore, the doors have different ridges than the Jetta (however the familiar trim rails have been removed and their mounting holes filled and painted over), the wheel arches have much less pronounced bulges than the Jetta.

Also, unlikethe Jetta there is a single uninterrupted line running from the top of the front fender, along the bottoms of the side windows, back to the pronounced hip (not present on the Jetta)above the rear tail lights.Finally, in the other pictures of this car, you can see the tail lights which are obviously A4 Avant tail lights, not Jetta wagon tail lights.

Also notice the S4 front bumper which has been added on.

 

Hmm, I think I've stated my bias opinion. Avant for the sleek and sexy.

 

yeah but alot of non avant drivers want an avant, we just can find the one we want or afford it. also did anyone consider the said POS may be a passat.

It IS in fact a pre face lift A4 that's had the fenders worked (in the wrong way).

 

It's not a Passat. The hood is wrong, the hip line is wrong,the grill is wrong, the bumper is wrong, the wheel wells are wrong. However, when compared side-by-side with a known A4, all of those match. IT'S AN A4, DAMNIT.
