I donate blood, even though when I worked in an ER for years I watched patients get transfusions for years rather than the surgery that would have cured their problem ( One patient sucked up over 200 units of blood that I witnessed).
I am an organ donor on my license because I hope I can help someone with whatever I have left to give and I certainly can't take any of it with me.
