Default Paper help

Haha i know this isnt really the place for it but this crap is due in the morning and i cant squeeze 4 pages out of it. This is for an English 201 class, the topic is, Based on your own observations of children, what gender messages and expectations do they receive from infancy on. This means stuff like giving a boy toy trucks, making a girl wear pink etc.

Good luck with that. Don't really have any suggestions for you other than making things as wordy as possible...that's what I always do, anyway.[8D]

4 pages double spaced should be easy.

Go with the regular socialization of children from a young age. Ever since they are born they are either dressed in blue or pink, boys are taught to play with trucks and etc like you said.
I'll try to dig up that research article that talked about identical facial expressions within babies given different labels based on their gender (ie. if the baby was a girl they would say she was fragile, and if it was a boy they would say he was confident or whatever).

Socialization of children is a huge part of our society, so much so they target a lot of the advertising to them and there are a ton of influences that tell boys and girls how to behave directly and indirectly.

Dude seriously; paper topics like that are MADE for BS. And more than likely double-spaced - that shouldn't take more than fourty-five minutes and a couple shots of bourbon.
