Parental control and screen time
I want to hand over my old phone to my 12-year-old daughter. I've read about parental control, but most apps support/encourage tracking of the child's phone usage (app usage, internet, mail, social networks, etc.).
What I am trying to achieve is to lock some apps and phone settings, and I would also like to limit the screen time so that she has enough time to do her homework, etc. But I absolutely don't want to rummage through her stuff. So I kind of want to control what she can do on the phone, but whatever we (my wife and I) choose to allow, our daughter should be able to use as she wishes.
So I want her to be able to use her phone freely as she pleases, but she still has a few tabs on what she can do. I think it can be a good way to keep the situation under control while maintaining confidence in his decisions.
I read about a couple of apps and thought about "locking the droid" to limit apps and settings and "Controlling screen time" so that it doesn't just constantly play games on the phone.
What would be your thoughts or experiences about it?
As I said, I have been reading about this for some time, but most of the reports are from several years ago.
Thank you for giving me time.

I think that the day you plan to buy your kids a phone, the same day you will have to download facebook spy. When we bought our son a new Iphone, we decided to use this control because of all those discussed things that you can find on the internet. Imagine if I see this every day, what my son can find, he is much better versed in all these new devices. His father and I were sitting and talking to our little boy about what he shouldn't do with his phone. I think he understood us, but I'll check every day anyway.
