Haha, when I got it... the camera was one of the main reasons... I paid an assload for it, its not available in canada... and wasnt even available in USA when I got it. Then the REAL trick was to get the 7610b... opposed to just the 7610. The 'b' means it operates on 850 mhz instead of 900... 900 is europe and ****... 850 is canada and USA I believe... so I run on 850/1900... 1900 is avail everywhere I think, but if I get into a low coverage area on the 1900 mhz, it'll switch to 850, which is more widespread.

That Taurus is probably a Mercury Sable. Anyway, it's mind-boggling the effort somebody put into turning it into a 'Fordcedes'. Lets see....
1) Modify and graft hood/ grill unit of 300E onto the Sable
2) Alter rear body panel area to accept same 300E lights and deck lid.
3) Contruct hideous looking vinyl top.

He could have taken the money he spent on BONDO ALONE and invested it into a REAL Mercedes.

As to the Neon, I see a lot of those type of modifications around Southern California.

what makes you think sable, not taurus? I talked to my mechanic, he said it was formerly a taurus. But yes... waste of time, and money for sure!

 

hey i have a pic of that grand am on my phone to and there are a few neons around here that look like **** that one in paturicular I see all the time in whitby but that Grand am has a Type R badge on the trunk too ( wounder if it has VTEC ) hahaha

I only wish he knew, that 3 seperate people (that we know of) have taken a picture of his car, because of how BAD it looks. That'd be satisfyin. If I ever see it again, I should leave a piece of paper under his wiper... with the URL for this thread.

 

Fenders with corner / side marker lights are definately Mercury Sable - different from the gen 1 Taurus.

 

I like the fake headlight wipers, myself... Wonder if they have ones that'll fit my Camry?
