Supposedly this is as good maybe a lil better than the V1 but is alot cheaper and thats a big plus for me.

Ive got the V1 in my S4. I drive from my house in saratoga, CA (south bay area) to UCSB about once a month. I average around 95 all the way down 101. My V1 saves me from half a dozen tickets every round trip. The range on the V1 is amazing, sometimes its too good because ill slow down and i wont get to the highway patrol on the side of the road for a mile or two. Also the directional arrows are great. Im not sure if the escort has them? Unless moneys an issue id say get the V1. also look online i got the hardwire kit for about 15 bucks. That way you dont have annoying cords hanging in your way. v1 hands down.......no comparison. I have used both and own the x50 and it doesnt work nearly as good as the v1.

 

also since im in Cali i have to deal with CHP and local smokey. So i need good Lidar, POP and instant on (trigger type radar). Is V1 still the best. I dont care about teh arrows since if it goes off im gonna slow down no matter what. But i like the bogey counter (i think the X50 has it too).

Anyone know the penalty for being caught with a laser jammer?

i also am looking at the K40. Its a laser jammer that i can buy locally for 299.99 and then have installed for another 100. The guy says he runs it on his car and no one has ever been cited in the state of CA for having one. There is some grey area on whether it is illegal to use or not. But that will be 400 and no radar protection. So then i need to buy a radar detector. They also have a K40 one that is also 299.99. So thats around 700 out the door. Is it really worth the money to be able to speed a lil? I mean a ticket will only cost 200 and ill goto traffic school so no points will go to my insurance. Plus if i get this that means the mods for my car need to stop for now (until i can actually get a job).
