I'm aware a few companies pitched in to produce Bugatti's new super car, 'Veyron'. However, I've noticed Audi already had something that looks almost like it's clone, the 'Rosemeyer'. Do these two have any relation or is it merely coinedence ?

 

VW owns Bugatti, so odds are the same concept team worked on both cars. The Rosemeyer is defunct now anyway, so it doesn't matter much. The R8 took alpha position for Audi conceptsafter the Rosemeyer went away

 

Do you know any specific reason why ?

 

Probably because concept cars are just that typically, concepts. I'm assuming they did apply some of the Rosemeyer's technology/innovation to the Veyron (a badass piece of machinery might I ***), however sometimes it is just not practical for them to dump more and more money into something that really has no planned future. The R8 is by far one of the sweetest looking vehicles to ever hit the concept world, I would not only kill to own one, but if I had enough money, I would figure out how to buy one.
