Default Road Kill stories

Anyone have any good road kill stories? I ran over a chipmunk on my bicycle and he got stuck in my rear brake. Have not hit anything with my car yet.

I live in cali just the other side of the santa cruz mountains and I drive up into the hills quite frequently to visit friends. The narrow twisty roads have a ton of deer on them. Bout 6 months ago I was driving up and there was a car stopped in the middle of the road that hit one while coming around a corner. It was a big Chevy Tahoe, but it smashed up his bumper/grill pretty good. Glad I didn't hit that thing, would've been alot worse. If run over the occasional squirrel, nothing to talk bout though.

I hit a bird in my dad's Jeep Wrangler once. Damn thing stuck right in the grille. Had to spray it out with a power washer [:'(]

My brother smacked a raccoon with his Volvo, the only damage was a dented license plate and a blood splatter.

Back when lowrider trucks were cool, I was following a buddy who hit a turtle. He deshelled it and threw it's insides allover my truck. We were on our way to Tampa for a car/truck show. Spent the whole show picking bits out of the grill. It sucked big time.

Argh, I used to drive a 98 golf VR6, lowered with eibach and bilstein, and euro bumpers/moulding... it sat pretty low, as you can see.

Anyways, I went to visit my buddy who lives out in the middle of nowhere... as I am leaving, his mom informs me to watch teh hell out for deer, because my buddies sister had hit a deer 3 weeks ago, and her boyfriend had done the same just days earlier...

I take this advice, and am going like 80 km/h in an 80 zone (imagine!), its about 8:00pm, and dark... this dude in a truck is tailgating the hell out of me, because I am doing the speed limit, on gaurd for deer. Anyhow, up ahead about half a mile, this guy in a car is turning out of his driveway, so I sigh as sigh of relief, and figure THIS dude can hit a deer, not me! Before I had even finished that thought, TWO racoons bolt out in front of me. Yeah. Two. I was HARD on the brakes, which lowered the front end even more... I think my bumper basically plowed them off to the side, and god knows what the tailgater behind me did to them.

Stupid animals.
