rs6 conversion
alright this is my latest crazy idea.
in most circumstances this prolly wouldnt happen but things are falling into place. i found a guys that has 4 rs6 engines, ecu's, harnesses etc sitting as well as some v10 toureg engines. but anyway i am not at all interested in putting a v10 into a a4, but back to the rs6 engine.
this is a little technical and usually alot of you guys shy away from these questions here. but here it goes
i spoke with a friend that works for audi yesterday afternoon and he had a chance to work on one rs6 but the job he did is pretty in depth. there were a few things i didnt know about the rs6 engine that he told me which sounds like it is going to be impossible to pull off the swap. he told me that the 4.2 in the rs6 is a different 4.2 than the s4 and there is a shaft driven power steering pump and the alternator is water cooled. he also said that there is no way to fit that 8 into the a4 bay. i never had a chance to pop the hood on a rs6 but he said you cant fit your hand in there. there was also something about chain drive vs. belt drive and were they are located on the engine between the s4 engine and the rs6 engine, not sure which ones which. so all this begins scaring me into thinking that this is impossible. then there is the mess i do know about. getting the harness, ecu, and cluster to work together. the rs6 is equipped with immobilizer 3 and i think my a4 is also so i think revo can do the ecu for me and remove the immbolizer, if that happens i can get the factory harness and ecu from the rs6 to work with the a4's cluster. so the next problem is the drivetrain/tranny issues. there is no way i can get the rs6's manual to the US. i was thinking about making a bracket that could work as a adapter between the a4 tranny and the rs4 block but i dont know if that tranny would reliably handle that kind of power. so i could do the tip (which i really hate). but i know there are guys with a4's out there with over 450 hp on there a4 trannys and it seems to hold up. maybe i can send it to a place around here that does cryo treatments. next is that belt drive crap, now i can go one of two ways here, use the rs6 radiator and keep the alternator watercooled or switch it too a non watercooled alternator and keep the a4's size radiator but buy a fluidyne model. and i will definately have to replace the power steering pump with a stock a4 or s4 whichever fits easiest. im sure there are a ton of small details that a i didnt think about and that has alot to do with my lack of knowledge of the rs6 engine. please advise on any other issues that i might have or just your thoughts and ideas how you would go about doing it. please dont waste time talking about cost unless your gonna donate money to me, ill worry about that i dont need the forums help there.

1, i dont think theres a chance in hell ud fit a V8 twin turbo engine in the engine bay of the car.
2, ud need a new rs6 tranny, and get it mounted
3, theres no chance in hell the engine would fit
4, it will be WAY too expensive to even start to try to get the engine to fit
5, if you had 30 g's to blow into an engine swap, and make it actually run without any problems, do it up if u can get it to fit. dont wanna sound like an *** dude, but ur thinkin unreal here...

allright i guess its not very possible after doing more research the biggest problem i found was that there will be 0 cooling for the turbos and manifolds if i could get it to fit. now im thinking something else, look for my next crazy idea post.
