I'd buy it, if I had tha loot. Then, as CEO, I'd make them build a cross between a Volvo and an Audi. I'd call it the Vulva

Or, maybe the Aulvo... Nope, not teh same ring to it.

VULVA it IS!!!

try and find what they did w/the saab 9-2x. gm was to have the subaru wrx rebadged as a saab. little less power than the wrx, lot more luxury.

there is actually plenty of people that are willing to buy volvo, the extreme front runner being bmw and nissan/renault. Just because volvo has become less boxy people think that ford is ruining them, and this is coming from a family that has owned 2 240's(244 and 245), a 89 740, and currently owns s60 and v70 t5's. IMHO, ford has done nothing but made them better, which is unfortunatly more than i can say for saab and gm. Saab's have always been great cars, and from what i hear from a couple of friends' personal experiences, it's not lookin too great.

I really like some Volvo's, but the interiour in the '01 S40was nothing compared to the interiour in my '01 A4.

Also,I don't really like very many Saab's, but that guy did put 1,000,000 on his 900 SPG.

I have come to replace vnv, as I broke my Audi streak with my second Saab in a row now. I have an NG900 turbo...there are some dedicated companies like genuinesaab that offer quite a variety of performance parts, but the selection other than that is extremely slim. Aesthetic upgrades like headlights/taillights/aero kits/etc are almost unheard of. Everything is very pricey and hard to find. But at the end of the day, you have yourself a good looking car that is seriously quick, with very many features that come stock. My car continues to impress me with random stuff that is just so well designed by the swedes. Also, it is the ultimate DIYer car. If you have the time and effort, you can do an amazing amount of stuff to these things.

The newer Saab 9-5s and 9-3s are faster and better looking, but at the cost of moddability. Good luck trying to do anything with those engines if you don't have thousands to spend.

Plus, in all the places I've been (currently something like 14 different countries), I cannot recall EVER seeing a Saab broken down by the side of the road. I've seen Merc's, B-M-trouble-U's, VeeDubs & Audi's (and ALL the American marques, of course), every Nipponese, evena DAF, believe it or not. But I do not recall ever seeing a Saab. Oh, I'm sure it happens. I've just never seen it.

Even though Saab is now owned by GM, almost their entire model range is seperate from GM. The exception is their SUV (9-7x, I think?) which is a GM rebadge.

Overall I really like Saab's cars. The only downside I see is the lack of available mods and the amount of money it costs to do anything to it. I looked at the 9-3 before getting my Audi. They are nice cars, fun to drive, well-designed.

That 9-2 is badass too! Wish they didn't stop making them. Perfect sleeper + lots of available mods from the Subaru side.
