Default SCREW YOU POLICE

well I was thinking of buying a radar detector.

I don't want to spend no more than $300.

Preferable one that is $200. Do you guys know of any good ones for that price?

in my opinion there a waste of money, they dont catch laser til after they have taged you and they dont always catch the police cars you see...but i think valetine one is popular on here or however you spell it

Hey I got a detector for christmas that works really well and is one of the best on the market. Ive got an 02 A4, the detector comes with either a red or blue display, the red looks sweet with the red interior of my car and is cheaper than the blue. It is a Passport 8500 by Escort. http://www.escortradar.com/x50.htm
My friend had one and after riding with him I had to get one too. Its very effective. Saved me last night.

They only dont pick up the cops that arent looking for people speeding and have their radars off. You dont have to worry about those cops anyway unless you plan on running stop signs or something. Mine works great.

I was looking into buying one a couple months ago but decided against it because they will not always work, also only the expensive ones pick up laser and only give you about a second to react. With a dector you will find yourself speeding more than usual and thus you will be bound to be caught a couple times. Don't waste your money on one, just mod your car.

I just put my Pug in the passenger seat and he can sniff out a radar from 2000 feet. When he does he goes "Woof Wooof".

Valentine One, hands down. I just upgraded from a Rocky Mountain C-450, and there's no comparison. Most of the police today are not using laser, YET.... So radar coverage is still good. Hold out, and get the extra money for the Valentine IMO

$400 is too expensive for me

I'm not going to buy any radar detect over $300... unless it has a built in microwave
