Default Should they release the video of Irwin's death?

The have said that there is a video of his death, and Irwin in an earlier interview said if he died he would hope it would be on film.

So should tehy show it?

No way they should show it. This guy was an inspiration to so many kids around the world. Some sicko will show it to kids and mess up their minds for the rest of their lives.

I am not that much of a Goul to ever want to see it.

Will it be part of the stingray safety video series?

Once it gets on the internet it will be like the Zapruder film. Pretty soon someone will say that there was a "second stinger" and then somehow Cheney will be implicated.

Maybe they should keep that one in the can.

agreed. Why show it? Let his family try to make peace with it, not have it rerun on news channels and internet forums.

Would anyone here want them to put a video of yourself or a family member out for the public to see? I think it's a terrible idea but they will come out with something. Hopefully they don't. It's kinda freaky that there are so many people out there that enjoy watching death.

the story is that teh discovery ch denied that the cameras were roling when it happened from what i heard. They finally did say that they did have it on camera. I agreed that it shouldnt be shown, but it will get ratings b/c ppl dont care. I hope that the family never has to see it. I worry that when his kids are older they will find the video of their fathers death on the internet.

Personally...do I think they should show it? Of course not, because (as stated above) his kids will eventually see it someday. The problem is, it will eventually get out. The reason I say that is because of the thing that CNN is doing on this coming September 11. I think I read this on here, but they are showing the exact film on CNN on 9/11 just like it was happening over again. Why would you do that? I know that I am taking it out of context a little bit because the WTC video won't be focused on one person like Steve's video would be, but do you see my point?

Sadly, i think it will come out.

Oh, and to add a comment on him saying that he would hope his death would be on film...if you ask me, I think that has more to do with the fact that if it was on film that would mean that he was doing what he loved at the time of his death. Idk if it has much to do with them showing it. That's just my two cents.

i agree, he said that b/c he knew what he did while he was on film. He didnt want to die sleeping in his bed, he wanted to die with his boots on!!
Its not like he wanted to die by being in a car accident and that being caught on a traffic camera.
