I can't diagnose, but can do my best to help you try to figure out what's going on if you'd like.
I would also like to say if you continue to cough up blood have someone take you to the ER.

On that note...

Are you not running a fever because you just drank some water when you were trying to OD on the sudafed and benadryl?
If so wait about 15 - 20 minutes without drinking/eating anything and take your temp again.
Also, open your mouth and take a peek in the mirror... Do you see any white spots on your tonsils/back of your throat? If not what color would you say they are(deep red, slightly red, pink)?
Any other symptoms? Like muscle fatigue, nausea, or headaches?

I hope you get well soon!

- maybe...

- I was looking for white spots earlier for strep, but didn't see anything other than swelling. I took another look and compared to some pics online (btw- there are some gruesome pics of tonsilitis and strep out there) and the swelling has gone down a bit, but it still hurts.

Any other symptoms? Like muscle fatigue, nausea, or headaches?
- Not really. I've been trying to keep up by drinking lots of water since dehydration is a bitch.

Coming from Southern California, I'd say have a shot or two of tequila and go to bed. That should cure anything.

Cheers!

You may just have a sore throat and a little post nasal drip going on. Good job with avoiding dehydration, it'll only make you feel worse!
Definitely try to take your temp though, and just keep an eye on things. If you get worse within the next 2-3 days go see your doc.
