some asshat hit my car
i think it was a certain guy because my room mates said they saw a white maxima parked behind all of the cars that night. thats really the only thing i can think of. i wont claim it on insurance, i have a $500 deductable and im not really willing to pay that at the moment. im pretty sure i can get the white paint off my bumper without further issues but im still just steamed about it.
I came out of a parking lot once to find a nice ding with a paint scrape in the door. Now, this wasn't a fancy car, it wasn't in showroom conditon, it wasn't even very new. It was a 93, but the thing it, it was my car and I liked it. (Hella good on gas and never gave me any trouble. Got rid of it at about 96k on the odo because I wanted something newer) Anyway, next to me was this newish car and low and behold, a touch of red paint on it's door right exactly where it would be had one slammed it into my car. This wasn't an ordinary parking lot ding, mind you. He/she must have kicked their door into my car. Did they leave a note at all? Nope. I pulled my car out of the lot and then kicked their mirror off. Took the entire thing clean off, and the best part was that it was one of the power non-folding kinds so it's cowling that connected it to the door was done for. It was dangling by it's wires so I cut them and then left it on the cowling below the windshield. The glass had smashed, too. Overkill? Probably. But I felt good. The lesson is, if you **** someones ride, even a minor bit, you deal with it. I bumped into someone in a lot and I was leaving a note. There was a small scuff on his bumper. He came out while I was writing the note so I explained what happened and pointed it out to him. He said not to worry about it, since it matched many other scuffs that were already there. Not everyone cares about their car as we do, but most people do care about honesty.[&:]
