- 1st person to post on a SPAM thread gets 10 points.
- next person gets 9
- 3rd person gets 8
- and so on

- points keep going down until the reach 1, then they start going back UP
- for instance, poster #12 to a SPAM post gets 2 points.
- #13 gets 3
- #14 gets 4
- All teh way back up to 10

ok, can i get a ruling here.. i want to call spam on this ultimate pedals thing. Its tough cause its an official sponsor, but its their first posts and its in nearly every thread section. id like to call it spam purely based that its ALL OVER THE PLACE and not just in the group buy forum. But id thought id ask here first for that reasoning and that i dont know where to call spam cause its everywhere.

 

Philosophically, mostly because of the EVERYWHEREness of it, but, it being an official sponsor kinda complicates matters. 1st, they're helping pay the bills (bandwidth, maintanence, dohnuts for Amanda, etc), so we dpn't wanna upset them. 2nd, for points to be counted the thread hasta get LOCKED by a Mod or Admin, which freezes teh points and allows them to be counted, right? Locking a sponsors thread might lead to loss of #1

Redgoat's the ref, tho. If he says yea, and/or an Admin/Mod locks the thread, it's SPAM. If not, it's not.

 

I have to agree with AWD there, its not spam just a sponsor getting their moneys worth and after all many members don't visit all the site forums so the sponsor needs to let all the forums know
