damn, i got onto three spam threads at the very beginning of this round but i think the threads got deleted, i can't find em anymore.

 

Yeah, I was on those too. I didn't know that we had officially restarted anyway.

Is the game on or not?

I need to know in case Iceman comes back around, I can hit each one of the threads that he starts.

 

I thought we were starting another round, too, but I guess someone forgot to tell the MODs and ADMINs... I'll, uhh, send out some PM's. PICs of this rounds 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be up as soon as I remember to stop by the dollar-sto an git 'em[&:] The prizes, not the pictures...

SPAM-Jumpers/Round II/FULL RULES:

1. ONLY your 1st post to teh thread counts for points.
a) You can post as many times as you want, but only the 1st one counts for points!!!

2. Once an Admin or Mod LOCKS the thread that round is over.
a) No more points to be had for THAT thread.

3. EVERY AF member in good standing (as determined by management) can play, ANYbody can win!
a) SPAMmers are PROHIBITED from participation CAN'T score on their own thread.

4. Once you've posted to a spam thread you are no longer permitted to post for points.
a) You can still post, just not for points.

5. Admins are OBLIGATED to LOCK spam threads, delete the offal, and put up the requisite "Admin owns" smilie to mark their territory.
a) You can only accrue points from LOCKED threads...
b) Unless/until an Admin or Mod LOCKS a thread, teh points DO NOT count.

6. Links to the ofending SPAM threads will, where possible, be posted at the time that scores are updated.
a) This is done to verify points, and, prove to you whiners that the score-keeping is accurate.

7. Tied scores hafta KISS at the end of teh game... EWwwwwwwwwwwwww!

8. Void where prohibited.

9. Actual mileage may vary.

10. Title, tax and license NOT included

11. These Men and Women are Trained Professionals. DO NOT try this at home. OK, well, unless you happen to BE at home when you see a SPAM thread, then, by all means, PLAY AT HOME!


Points:
- 1st person to post on a SPAM thread gets 10 points.
- next person gets 9
- 3rd oerson gets 8
- and so on
- and so on
- points keep going down until the reach 1, then they start going back UP
- After points reach ZERO, if Adminz haven't yet locked the thread the points begin to re-ascend (maybe I shud just say "go back up," huh?), 1-2-3-4, an so forth, until the thread is locked. This gives late comers a way to stay in the game.
- for instance, poster #12 to a SPAM post gets 2 points.
- #13 gets 3
- #14 gets 4
- All teh way back up to 10 (if it survives w/o being LOCKED, that is)

Three requirements for SPAMjumpers SPAM qualification:
1. Shameless commerce
2. No0b poster
3. Admin/Mod locks the thread

ONLY if ALL THREE conditions are met will it qualify for SPAM-Jumper points. No other requirements are... uhhh... required.
a) If your "rank" shows "newbie," you're DEFF a nEuB... In other words, if you've posted enough content to qualify as a "rolling start", you're no longer a newb.
b) "Shameless commerce" is if post the link takes you to a site whose content is ONLY about making a buck. In other words, newbs posting links to a site that only wants money from me (not ME specifically, but, the... ummm... YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!), and has no other reason for existing beyond basically being a vendor of some sort.
1) Sponsors posts, with links or not, are NOT considered SPAM! They pay the bills, so they're allowed... Don't be slow!
