SPEAKING OF ROAD TRIPS.......
What's you fastest road trip?
.
.
.
Mine was in 1988, driving a rental beater ('88 Camry) back to Las Vegas from Orange County (Brea) to avoid the drop-off charge: 3 hours, 20 minutes. Took 5 more hours to get home by plane.
.
Am sure somebody could beat it...........

When we drove to Phoenix a month ago, I hit 160mph briefly in the Porker along I-40 in the New Mexican God-ran-out-of-ideas desert. Cruised at 120 for about 10 minutes. Did the whole drive in 11hrs flat. 970 miles from our hotel to our house. Avg speed-88mph.
I'm sure I would beat that if I went by myself or with someone younger and stupider....but the car belongs to my dad, and he switched off with me.
This is from Phoenix to Boulder, CO.
Also, if you live in Phoenix, I'm sorry for you.
