1 second is a hella lot of time in a 1/4 mile race I think its anything under 13 seconds if you want to drop another second its another 100hp I read this somewhere not sure where but someone correct me if I am wrong

i duno the WRX are about the same through out execpt for some exterior changes, i hate that old bug eye look

Subaro use's boxer engine, just cuz we drive audis doesnt make them God, Wrxs are nice for some people, I myself, am a car enthuiaist, and will not rag on wrxs.

 

my bro wanted to buy an STi so i looked in to it for him, my bro doesnt kno much about cars, i kno more about his current car then he does
the STi box engine is a good design its small and placed lower to the ground than most regualr engines and that lowers the center or gravity
hey Porsche use the box engne design also, subaru has a lot of good things but i still love my audi
WRXs are performance compact cars and we have sport/luxary cars cant really campare they are different classes

 

we'll both grab totally stock 2.0Ts, and see how close we are. no doubt there will be a couple off by 1 second man.

Thats a good assesment of the idea. for every time you double the weight you have to multiply the power by 4 to keep the same performance so do the equation backward and you can get an idea. of course there are other factors involved and the only time you could catch a car that is 1 sec. faster 1/4 is if he fucked up.

 

For a sweet-looking, fast, highly modifiable sport/luxury sedan, you would be very grateful to get into every morning, the S4 would be tought to beat. For a weird but mean looking, fast, very highly modifiable pocket rocket that gives up alot to the Audi in terms of ride quality, NVH, interior quality, ubiquity, get the WRX. You could certainly have more track/dirt/canyon fun in the WRX, and could modify it to be much, much crazier than all but a select few S4s for a good deal less money. This isn't really a fair comparison in any way, except objectively. These are two different animals. If you are a huge car nut who loves dicking around with your car and care more about performance than anything else, then you should probably get the WRX. If you want a nice, sporty, fast, car that you would relish owning on cold mornings, long drives and when you turn around to lock it in parking lots, get the S4. You put the same amount of money into modding an S4 versus a WRX, the Rex will always, always be faster and more hardcore. It will also always be buzzy, rough, touchy, and there will be three other ones on your block.
