Hi sullys girlfriend.. how are ya? Welcome to the forum.. This would belong in the "TT" section and also, please dont type in capslock, its hard to read, and plus we think your yelling at us And none of us want our feelings hurt. Did the timing belt break? How many miles are on the car?

Well if just the tensioner failed, then who knows. Audi does have some kind of program involving compensation for engine damage due to premature timing belt failure. I'd look into that.

If he ends up paying out of pocket, he'll be spending a lot of money... I'd say 2K minimum, all the way up to 4 or 5 grand if he's in a hurry.

i would get it looked at by a german car mechanic (depending on his knowledge and handieness of the car) if it did fail in any way ur looking at some nice cabbage. Prolly 2k and up like mentioned.

First off i would contact audi of north america monday morning and they should be paying for it if teh timing belt failed before 90k mi when its supposed to be changed. Let us know what happens.
