Default TV help

So I know a lot of you have HDTV's and so do I, so I was wondering if anyone here could offer some suggestions.

Last night I was watching TV when the screen just suddenly went black and then it wouldn't turn back on. Any ideas? The TV has power to it and but when I try to turn it on the screen just stays black

oh yeah it is a Vizio 26' 720 HDTV if that matters

Any help from all you smart people, and yes I already contacted Vizio about it too.

cable is hooked straight up to the TV, usually if there is no input the screen is blue but it's just plane black, no color, nothing.

No screen pops out when you push a button? Does it turn on at all?

it has a little thing at the bottom that backlights a HDTV logo on the bottom(it's a red LED) which is on when the TV is off, when I try to turn it on, the backlight goes away and then nothing happens. I have a feeling It'll go back to Vizio and I'll get another one, but with the TV not being a year old yet, this doesn't say much for quality

I gotta Samsung and I have the same red/blue light. So if it isn't coming on at all then something must've gone haywire with the internals. Don't know how good Vizio's are but if its a year old and you have a warranty I would replace it if I was you. Never know what might happen later.

Yeah, I'm guessing they are gonna replace it but I'll have to wait for there techsupport to get back to me and then deal with the warranty people, looks like it's time to dig up m warranty info.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of Vizio. My friend bought one in August and it already has a couple dead pixels. Vizio wouldn't replace his TV, but hopefully with your TV completely dead they will give you a new one. Then there's alot of reviews on CNet about vizios failing
