Default vag-com on linux?

anyone get vag-com to work on linux using wine? i migrated my laptop over to linux and id like to get vagcom working

ooohh if you get it working, let me know. I just started looking into that as well. Still need Wine though. Apparently, it can be done.

I'm complicating the issue though, as my netbook only has USB ports, and my vag cable is serial. Picked up a serial/usb adapter, but the chances that I can get it to work are slim. I'll probably jump over to eeeuser.com and ask on those forums. The EeePC is a nice little niche with plenty of followers that know their ****.

ok.. My cable is USB and my laptop don't have serial eiter, but I'm using gentoo.. What is the subsystem xandros is made off? If it's the same then maybe u can help me out

Its a Debian offshoot. I can't remember where I read it, but I read that it should work.

ok so my gentoo crapped out on me... and its pissing me off im switching to a different distro.. which should i use.. i refuse to use Ubuntu.. i use it in school and thats enough... debian.. dont even get me started.. and gentoo can suck it..

k i switched to linux mint. which pretty much looks like Ubuntu but, looks a lot better.. i like it way better than Ubuntu already.. lol. now to install my wireless and Wine

haven't had a chance to screw with it, been busy with work, and having another laptop pretty much dedicated to vagcom really doesn't help my motivation to get vag to work on the linux rig.
