Warning CA Drivers!!!
Hi all,
I grew up in CA and have a fine collection of speeding tickets. One place of relative safety was freeways, as long as you watched out, since the CHP couldn't use radar there. Well, I was riding my bike to SF on 580W just before you get to the Bay Bridge turnoff and there were 3 CHPs on the side of the road. As I went by one pulled out and pulled me over. He said, "You came around that turn at 85." I asked if they can use radar on the fwys now and he said they use "light-dar" or something like that. Whatever - it tells them how fast you are going. So, be careful on the fwys now - they've taken the sport out of it.

RE: Warning CA Drivers!!!
ya its known as LIDAR. google or wikipedia that ****. i hate them they suck.
EDIT: here's a description:
LIDAR
LIght Detection And Ranging uses the same principle as RADAR. The lidar instrument transmits light out to a target. The transmitted light interacts with and is changed by the target. Some of this light is reflected / scattered back to the instrument where it is analysed. The change in the properties of the light enables some property of the target to be determined. The time for the light to travel out to the target and back to the lidar is used to determine the range to the target.

haha. a radar jamming car. I think there are a lot of detectors/jammers out there. You just have to get one that jams laser not just radar. Escort ZR3 is supposedly one of the best.
